Beer 144: Dear God, Make the Boogers Stop. I Can't Taste My Westoek.

Tonight's beer drinking is a crime.  I can't breathe, taste or smell.  Here's hoping that I didn't just waste a really awesome beer.

The Westoek is a tripel brewed by Brouwerij Deca (Belgium).  After nearly snorting the beer out of the glass in my effort to smell it, I can report beer smell with a little sugar.  The color is a hazy apricot with a thick slightly off white head.  Taste is hops, pepper and I swear to god, pumpernickel bread.  Honestly I'm only taking over-the-counter cold medicine. None of the serious stuff.  I think I would really like this beer if I had all my senses intact.
